It’s been pretty quiet around here, because Fishladder has a shiny new website! Please go to http://scholarworks.gvsu.edu/fishladder/ to see the new 2012 issue, as well as archived contents all the way back to our very first issue in 2003. We’ll spruce up this page as a place for editors and contributors (past and present) to talk about writing and editing. In the meantime, check out http://scholarworks.gvsu.edu/fishladder/!
By now, all applicants in fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, and drama, should have heard from one of our editors. We’re looking forward to meeting new and returning staff at our first (and only) all-staff meeting on Friday, October 7, at 5pm in LOH 174. Come and learn about the editorial process, and meet your fellow genre readers.
Art and photography students: we need you! Fishladder is still accepting applications from students interested in joining our editorial staff and evaluating submissions of art and photography. We’re proud to feature great visual art alongside great writing, but we need your help! Please download the application below and see the instructions on the form about how to turn it in. We’d love to have you on board.
Please apply by Monday, October 3rd!
-The time commitment is flexible, and relatively light.
-Staff members can still submit their own work for possible publication.
-These positions are unpaid.
EDITED 9/24: THANK YOU for all your applications. The returning genre editors are meeting this coming week to go over applications and select genre staffs. You will hear from Fishladder via email in the next week or so.
Fishladder is now accepting applications from Grand Valley State University students interesting in working on the magazine. Would you like to help make editorial selections in poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, drama, art, or photography? Do you have previous Fishladder experience and you’d like to become an assistant head editor or genre editor? Are you interested in layout or design of the magazine? We’d love to hear from you. Please download an application, fill it out, and return it to LOH 326 by 9/23.
Looking forward to working with you!
