Get involved with Fishladder, GVSU’s annual journal of writing and art!
Would you like to help make editorial selections in poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, drama, art, or photography? Do you have previous Fishladder experience and you’d like to become an assistant head editor or genre editor? We’d love to hear from you.
Download the blank application form here, or get a copy from the WRT department main office, in LOH 326. Turn in completed applications to LOH 326. Or after hours, to the envelope on the door of LOH 307. Applications are due Friday, September 21st, 2012!

If you were a staff reader for the magazine last year, and want to continue in the same position, you do not need to fill out a new application.



About fishladder (Grand Valley State University Journal of Student Art and Writing)

fishladder is a student-run publication at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. We publish students' fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, drama, photography, and art. Students from across all disciplines in the university are encouraged to submit work in all styles, genres, and forms. fishladder aims to select the best, most artistic work for publication. The journal accepts submissions throughout the GVSU Fall semester, with a deadline at the end of the December finals week. Submissions are carefully considered by our student staff, and final decisions are made by our editors. The yearly print edition is unveiled every April, with copies available in Lake Ontario Hall and across the Allendale campus. The online edition will be updated annually and archived continually.
